Covid-19 Safety Measures

The safety of our visitors and staff are paramount during the current Covid-19 pandemic, and we have put in place all necessary measures to ensure you have a quality and engaging experience with your family, in a safe environment. Your visit will look slightly different to how you will have visited in the past, but you will still encounter living interpretation, with staff dressed in authentic Roman costume. You will still be able to explore the site and discover the Lunt Roman Fort’s place in our rich Roman history, and all children will be able to take part in our half-term activities.

What has changed?

  • You will need to book your visit in advance, via Eventbrite.

  • You will be able to choose a timed slot, giving you access to the site for 2 hours.

  • Our shop will be open for purchasing souvenirs; however, we are operating on a cash-lite system, and where possible we will require payment via contactless methods.

  • In line with the latest Government guidelines the wearing of masks is no longer mandatory, but we do ask that visitors wear them in our indoor spaces for all those aged 11 and over.
