The Big Lunt Mosaic


Learn about the ancient artform of mosaic making! Create your own artwork, which will become part of a giant 4-metre-long frieze which will become part of the museum’s permanent collection.

This Easter, visitors to the Lunt can learn all about the ancient artform of mosaic making. Using the materials provided, visitors will be able to create their own artwork, which will become part of a giant 4 metre long frieze. Once complete, this collaborative artwork will be displayed in the museum's permanent collection!

You will also be able to explore the unique Roman fortress, taking in the sites of the ramparts, the granary building and the world’s only known Gyrus!

Designed for age 5 - 12 years, but all are welcome.
